This week's blog post highlights one of our favorite venues, The Laurel. Located only minutes away from the DFW airport, this venue is not only convenient for your out-of-town guests, but it's hidden away on 6 acres of land, making your guests feel like they have been transported to the true Texas Hill Country.

The Laurel lends its style to many different types of aesthetic; from country to traditional, this blank space can be transformed to fit any couple. The 4,500 square foot Great Hall can fit 400 people, while the Chapel seats 275. The venue also has a covered cocktail area, a 1,500 square foot stone patio with a large fireplace.

Here are five reasons why The Laurel is one of our favorite venues in Dallas:

  1. The venue provides both indoor and outdoor options. - This is crucial for Texas weddings. The weather in the South can be extremely unpredictable, and The Laurel's indoor and outdoor spaces allow you flexibility and safety when planning a ceremony or reception. 

  2. The venue staff is delightful and easy to work with. - Working with venue coordinators who truly care about your event can make all the difference in the world. If a venue coordinator is willing to help you set additional table linens or finish placing your party favors, it will make all of the difference in the world for both you and your wedding planner. The staff members at The Laurel want to make your event as stress-free and organized as possible, and they work diligently alongside your wedding planner to make sure that it all happens.

  3. It is close to the DFW airport. - Trying to choose a beautiful ceremony site that is still accessible to out-of-town guests is not always an easy task. We know that a 14 acre farm two hours away from Dallas may be gorgeous, but how do you expect your wedding guests to get there? The Laurel's location (just five minutes from the DFW airport) will allow your wedding guests to enjoy your wedding with minimal travel stress.

  4. Their inventory of tables, chairs and linens. - Working with multiple rental companies to coordinate rental fees, delivery times, set-up fees and return responsibilities can cause both you and your wedding planner quite the headache; not to mention it can take a good chunk of money out of your budget. Thankfully, The Laurel already houses beautiful chairs and linens for each event, so that you can focus more on the items that will bring that extra pop of pizzazz to your aesthetic.

  5. The amenities are incredible. - How many weddings have you been to where you had to stand in line for a restroom, only to find that there are only two stalls and they're both unclean? Have you ever been a bridesmaid stuffed into a cramped room getting ready for the bride's big reveal? The Laurel's large, luxurious bathrooms and multiple waiting areas will give both you and your guests the room that you need to spread out and relax. Not to mention, their private bride and groom's suites are beautiful and functional.
